How to Access an NXP Mifare Classic Card?
Download HID PROX card sample code for .NET, C#, VB.NET

We get these questions quite often:

Of course you could start reading through NXP Mifare card specification. Then you would look into PC/SC 2.01 part 3 documentation to implement a Mifare card module on top of Smart card API framework. By the time you are done, a few days of valuable software engineering time can easily be gone.

To make things easier, we added sample code for Mifare Classic cards to our SDK. With that sample code you can load keys to your reader, authenticate under those keys and access Mifare data blocks in reading and writing - access conditions permitting.

We have prepared sample code to demonstrate this. It is work in progress. However as we think that this code can be very helpful, we wrapped it in HelloWorld-style sample code. Pre-release updates might become available outside the standard SDK setup. Just look for "C# HelloMifare pre-release" sample code in our download section os send us an email.
